Poultry provide eggs, meat and manures. Much has been written about the strength of poultry manures. The Change Underground System uses deep litter for poultry. By using this system a "pre" decomposition occurs before the manures go anywhere near the worms of the garden beds. If you use raw chicken manure from, say, large battery systems then the problems occur. Each species is kept in a manner that allows them to exhibit their natural instincts and concentrates a percentage of their manures.
